Coming up for air

The last time I popped in here, we had roofers crawling all over our house, my dad and his wife were here visiting, and I was suffering with a nasty sinus infection. Much of that week is a blur, but I do distinctly remember that it was the week the snow storms ended. Meaning, the weekly BIG snow storms.

We managed to have a very nice visit with the relatives, the roofers finished up about a week ago, and the antibiotics did their work on me, so now all is sort of back to normal. And at the perfect time, our school district is having it's winter break, so we're sleeping in, catching up on chores, and having some fun.

Here are a couple of photos I took two weeks ago in the midst of all the storming. And honestly, we've had a few warm days (meaning, in the upper 30s and low 40s) but we really haven't had that much of a melt.

Needless to say, we haven't done much grilling this winter, other than on the George Foreman grill my son gave me for Christmas.

And it's always at this time of the year when I look outside and feel like it will NEVER BE WARM AGAIN.

And it is at this time of the year that we here in Western Australia, continually look out the window and hope for cooler weather.....our temperatures here in Perth have been up in the high 30's (celcius that is) for at least three weeks....so humid and uncomfortable also. Would love some of your snow. Loved the photos of the snow on the table and chair. Smiles Sue in Western Aust.

The big melt is finally here, but those images are incredible. Now it's the time of year where it can get into the sixties one day and be snowing the next morning!
