If This is Wednesday, It Must be Snowing

A couple of weeks ago, I commented to my husband that we'd had two big storms on consecutive Wednesdays. Last week someone said that we seem to be having big snow every Wednesday or Thursday. On the news this morning, the weather guy said that it's mid-week in Maine, so here comes the snow!

It's Wednesday and the state of Maine is pretty much closed. The only folks venturing out seem to be the news people and the plow drivers. We got 3 or 4 inches of snow yesterday, and they're forecasting 12-18 inches for this whopper that's sweeping through today.

I'm up early because the school system sends out its automated phone call at 5:20 a.m. when there is a school closing. Always a lovely phone call to receive.

In other news, Happy Groundhog Day. Somehow with more than a foot of snow falling on our area, and more snow forecasted for Saturday and next week, I'm not sure if the groundhog could even shovel out of his little den.

Hee hee, I sure can relate to that one! School called this morning at 5:15, but I have it go to my cell phone which usually sits on the kitchen counter, turned down. This morning it was in the bedroom. Oh well.

Looks like it will be quite a while until our next storm! Yippee!

And yeah, how does the groundhog even get out of his hole with 2 ft of snow???
