Fall Foliage season is officially over and gone and dead in the water.
We've been fortunate because it hung on longer this year than it ever has in the years that we've lived here. The warm weather, too. In fact, just yesterday, the temperature was above 60. In November!
Today we are back in the 30s, which feels more normal, if not as pleasant. And our walk through the nearby woods indicates that the only leaves left on the trees are the dead but determined hangers-on that probably made it through last winter as well.
