Life in the frozen tundra of Maine with a hot husband, an emptying nest, and plenty of snow. OH God, the snow.
Looks like my stove at 10 below.......Burrrrrr
When the lights went dim and the heat was off We lit the wood stove and snuggled in softWhite down and lit the firesSat and read and became inspired. The candles glowed the wine was poured,The thermosat read -10 outdoors. The wind it galed the branches cracked. We played board games there was nothing we lacked. The mood was as warm as a day in June,As we listened to Golden oldies tunes.New England is a state of mind,Where we're reminded of a gentler time.
